Ratings & Reviews
I bought this machine a week ago .. was looking for a good functional trainer and decided on this one since my workout room is small. I cant say enough great things about this device. I bought my attachements and started using it right away. It does everything I need it to do.. it's easy to use and very sturdy. I am so pleased with this device. It keeps me getting a good "gym like" workout on the cable machine & fitness Avenue was just wonderful to work with. It was shipped fast and got here in reasonable time. If your looking for a space saver and a good sturdy device I'd recommend this 100 times over.
Perfect showed up on time would have been here in about 15 days but ordered on Christmas Eve over the holidays Well worth the cash I will be putting it to good use I will be ordering a second one as well , this is exactly what I need for where I live it saves space
Agree with other reviews. Solid construction for the price. Good idea to pop the caps off the pullies and pre-lubricate them before install. Assembly is NOT difficult. 2.5 hours total, 1 hr for the basic machine and 1.5 hours to route the cables, lube pullies and mount to a wall. Instructions are 4 pages, very simplified but it clearly shows where you start routing the cables from and where you end each one (with more then one view of the assembled machine). Using it with 100lbs on it it's solid and good enough for a good workout. it can clearly take allot more too. Delivery was 24 days from the time of order, just an FYI but expected in the current virus craziness.
I'm happy with this product, for the money I paid for. Chaging pulley heigt is a bit annoying as you need to unscew and rescrew the pin. I would've paid a but more for a quick release pin. I need to remove one star because the uppermost hole is unusable as it will make the pulley rub unto the top of the machine. But if you can live with this design flaw this is a good machine with an unbeatable price. Some people complained that instructions were not clear. The part numbers are off on the manual but if you look at the pictures it's really easy to tell which screw goes where, so to me that wasn't much of a problem.
I like how smooth the operation of this machine is. It's very versatile and feels great to use. The quality is comparable to more expensive machines. I am very happy with this machine and I highly recommend it!
I highly recommend this unit. The minor complaints I have are far outweighed by the overall solid build of this product. Pros: - Very small footprint. It is ideal for the small space I have for a home gym. - Very robust engineering. The only thing I imagine would eventually wear would be the pulleys, cable and bushings. All of which would be easily replaceable with a trip to Home Depot. All of the other parts are very solid & weldable if that were ever required. - Very simple engineering. - Assembly is straightforward. The diagrams and steps are clear and unambiguous. - It is inexpensive relative to other pulley units. I believe this is priced right & the other guys are charging way too much for what these things are. - It uses the weight plates you already have (standard or olympic) - It can be used to store weight plates as well. Cons: - It smells for a week or two like low quality rubber. If you are sensitive to smells, I would unpack it in the garage or shed & leave it there for a couple weeks before assembling it. - Adjusting the pulley height isn't terribly quick. You take out the threaded bolt out from between the pulleys, move it & thread it back in. All told it takes me about 45 seconds to get this done. I still like that it is very secure though & the thread pitch is such that it would be difficult to crossthread it & still has lots of engagement. - The drywall anchors & lag bolts that come with it don't work. The lag bolt ends up just pulling the anchor out of the wall. I ended up using other ones. - It would nice if it included an adaptor to attach both pulleys to single point attachment accessories. You can attach them to only one pulley, but it would be a little less wear if the load was evenly applied. That being said, making one wasn't difficult. - It would be nice if the unit was one foot taller. At 6' 1", the pulley mechanism is inline with my head at the highest setting. If it were another foot higher, I would be able to be against the machine, standing when on the highest setting. For some though, being shorter make it fit in some spaces.
The 2 that I bought both met and exceeded my needs. The delivery was awesome, right to my apartment door and in. The motion of the machines after a little lubrication are flawless. The dimension specs were exactly what I needed.
