AmStaff Fitness DF-2293 Seated Row Machine

Would not recommend, this piece is of poor quality. Firstly the seat itself does not fully lock into place (it rocks back and forth even when the locking pin is tightened. The rocking occurs while the machine is in use). I thought this was minor and didn’t address it with the company.

The chest pad is a bit too narrow for me but I also managed to mitigate this myself with some extra padding.

What I should have addressed sooner are the adapter sleeves. I use Olympic plates hence needing the 2” adapter sleeves which are plastic and slide over the 1” metal horns. The adapter sleeves are tightened using an allen screw. From the beginning the sleeves would slide off of the 1” horns when I would unload weight plates. At first the sleeves would slide off an inch or two until after several uses at which point the sleeves would fully slide off. I attempted to tighten the allen key which somewhat prevented the sleeve from sliding off. In doing so though it appears the allen key was overtightened causing the sleeve to bulge out which then prevents the weight plate from being fully loaded onto the sleeve. Loosening the allen screw does not correct this.

Now I cant fully load the plate because of the sleeve expansion nor does the sleeve stay intact while unloading.

Though Fitness Ave was prompt to acknowledge my concern and quick in responding via email, their recommendation is to sand down the sleeves. To me this is not a viable solution because a) the product seems inferior and…

Awesome piece of equipment at a great price. Super easy to put together. Rotating handles allow you to maneuver the row however you like and the knurling is surprisingly aggressive which is great. Extremely happy with my purchase. Would highly recommend to any home gym owner.

I have been slowly adding on to my home gym when I discovered Fitness Avenue. I have purchased several pieces from them now. All easy to put together, all great quality. They do the job just as well as any high end brand at any gym. I haven't had any issues with any of the equipment I have purchased.
