The Yellowstone Power Bar is a high-performance Olympic barbell designed for powerlifters who demand precision, durability, and long-term reliability. Built to meet IPF specifications, it is available in both stainless steel and Cerakote-coated steel, offering outstanding corrosion resistance and a clean, professional finish. The Cerakote variant comes bold colour options, combining durability with a distinctive aesthetic, while the stainless steel version provides a raw, uncompromised feel that appeals to lifting purists.
Engineered for minimal whip and maximum load stability, the Yellowstone Bar features bronze bushings that ensure smooth and consistent sleeve rotation under heavy loads. Its deep mountain knurling is very aggressive, providing a secure grip during the most intense training sessions, while the passive centre knurl adds control without causing excessive abrasion. The smooth sleeves are finished in stainless steel, or ArmourCoat to help keep plates securely in place.
ArmourCoat is a premium, urethane-acrylic polymer coating engineered for extreme durability and long-lasting protection. Applied through a precision spray process and cured at room temperature, this finish forms a tough, chip-resistant outer shell that shields the barbell from rust, abrasion, and wear — even under heavy daily use. Unlike traditional paint or powder coat, ArmourCoat bonds at a molecular level to create a flexible yet impact-resistant surface that won't crack or peel over time.
With a static rating of 1,500 lbs, 200,000 PSI tensile strength, low whip, and a precision tolerance of just 1%, this bar delivers elite-level performance in both home and commercial gym settings. Whether you're pushing your limits on the platform or fine-tuning your form, the Yellowstone Power Bar is built to support your strength journey rep after rep.

- JHJustin H.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 stars9 hours agoVery nice bar
This is my first 'real' bar of quality. The bushings are super smooth with very good tolerances and no free play. I love the black coating on the bar and sleeves. The bar is a bit oily out of the box but it wiped off easily enough with dish soap and a rag. The knurling is very aggressive, I like that though as I primarily use this bar for RDL's and deadlifts (including straight-leg deadlifts). Even though I use dry hands I found my previous (cheap) bar would start to slip in my grip by the end of a set, not this bar. I would say that if your hands aren't already conditioned this bar likely would wear your skin down quicker. The (lack of) flex is perfect for my intended uses. My plates slide on smoothly and there is a bunch of room to really load on the plates, even bumpers. I am very happy I finally upgraded to a real bar, such a difference from the cheap $100 ish bars. I have only beennusing this bar for about 2 weeks so far, however I do recommend this bar just based on my initial experiences.
