EVA Premium Foam Yoga Roller 6in x 36in

I have purchased two of these. One I use as intended and it is long enough for me to lay on with it supporting the length of my spine and neck while I do specific shoulder mobility movements. It is not too soft or too hard and the little bumps on it keep it from sticking to bare skin like many of the smooth foam rollers do.

The second roller I used to make myself a Bulgarian Split Squat / Barbell Hip Thrust support pad. See attached photos. I pushed a 1.25" steel rod through the center and made custom wood brackets to fix precisely in the J-Cups and keep it from moving around in the cups. The wood allows the assembly to easily rotate making Bulgarian Split Squats even more challenging because it rotates with your supported leg so you really can't assist/push off it the same as when using a fixed bench to do them. I am very happy with this and it saved me over a hundred dollars compared to buying a factory made one that (all of the ones I have seen) are inferior. It is grippy enough that my leg or back do not slide / slip on it even when super sweaty. It is soft enough however that it is not painful on my shin/ankle or shoulder blades / spine even when going heavy. I do 340lbs barbell hip thrusts (from full 90 degree hip bend / seated to completely straight hip raise) with this and the foam roller does not deform or show any signs of wear. Obviously the 1.25" steel rod keeps the roller from flexing under that weight.
